Quzhao Hu ‘12 is concentrating in Economics and pursuing certificates in Finance and Japanese Language and Culture. Having grown up in Nanjing, China, Quzhao graduated from Raffles Junior College, Singapore in 2008. Quzhao is involved in several student organizations on campus, including holding top leadership positions in Rockefeller College Council, the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars, and the Princeton University Language Program. Last summer, she interned at Founder Securities, one of the largest securities firms in China where she assisted customer managers in opening and cancelling of accounts and facilitated reconciliation between clients and managers. This summer, she will be interning at Ryokan Kagaya, one of the most famous hotels in Japan where she will be rotating through different positions and trained with a myriad of hotel managerial skills in a completely Japanese-speaking environment. In her spare time, Quzhao enjoys theater, musical performances and travelling.
Alexandra Jerez-Fernandez ’12 is a psychology major with a certificate in finance at Princeton University and interested in behavioral economics. Other leadership activities on campus include: President of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), Head of Mentorship Committee for Princeton Women in Business (PWIB), and member at large in the Princeton University Orchestra. As a Goldman Sachs Scholar, she participated in many GS sponsored events; the most recent of which was the 2010 Spring Program in investment management. This summer, Alexandra will be interning with Citigroup in the investment banking division.
Anne Lee ’12 is a math-track Economics major at Princeton University. On campus, she is a Founding Partner of Smart Woman Securities and she is also highly active in several other business organizations, including being the Co-Director of Competitions for the Princeton Entrepreneurship Club and a member of Princeton Women in Business’s off-campus events committee. Anne is also the Political Chair of the Taiwanese American Student Association, a staff writer for the Daily Princetonian, and an avid violinist. She interned at Merrill Lynch in Global Wealth Management for the summer of 2009 and participated in the 2010 Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Sophomore Spring Program. Anne is looking forward to working at Citigroup’s Institutional Clients Group as a Sales and Trading summer analyst this summer.
Ilya Sabnani '12 is a sophomore at Princeton University, majoring in Economics with certificates in Environmental Studies and South Asian Studies. Born and raised in New Jersey, she enjoys spending time at her eating club (Terrace F. Club), practicing yoga, and traveling. For the past two summers, she was a summer analyst at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London and Stamford, CT. This past fall, she had the opportunity to work for BASIX, one of the top microfinance institutions in India, conducting research on handloom weavers. This coming summer, she will work at VU Amsterdam conducting research in ecosystem valuation for an EU-sponsored project.
Stephanie Sher ’12 (chapter lead) is concentrating in Economics while earning a Certificate in Chinese Language and Culture. In addition to being a Founding Partner of Smart Woman Securities, she tutors, is Co-President of Princeton Women in Business, and plays for the Women’s JV Tennis team. During the summer of 2009, Stephanie worked at an affiliate of the U.S. Army first as a finance intern and then as a linguistics researcher. During the summer of 2010, Stephanie will be working at LearnVest.com.
Susan Weng ’13 from Shanghai, China, is a prospective Mathematics major, and plans to pursue certificates in Finance, the Program in Engineering and Management Systems, and East Asian Studies. She has been actively involved in Princeton Chinese Theatre, offering tech support for all three productions this year, working on logistic team of the tour committee, and is currently the Co-Director of Publicity. This summer, she will be attending the Princeton in Ishikawa program which is an eight-week intensive Japanese language program which covers the equivalence of one academic year of Japanese language study at Princeton University.
Peiwen Xu ’13 is from Nanjing, China. She is a prospective Economics major, and plans to pursue certificates in Finance, Neuroscience, and Political Economy. On campus she is actively involved in Princeton Chinese Theatre (actress and secretary), Chinese Students Association (Cultural Chair), Science in Society publication (Treasurer), Rockefeller College Council (Community Service Chair), and the Princeton Entrepreneurship Club (Networking Committee Co-Director). This summer, she plans to intern at a local bank in Nanjing, China and attend a summer study abroad program in Tours, France.
Julia Yue ’13 attended Waterford High School in Waterford, Connecticut and intends to major in molecular biology and to pursue a certificate in East Asian Studies. During high school, she held leadership positions as the captains of her school’s field hockey and tennis teams, president of the French club, and captain of her science bowl team. At Princeton, Julia is currently secretary of the Club Swim team, social chair of the Rockefeller College Council, project manager of Students in Free Enterprise, co-director of the Idea Factor for Princeton Entrepreneurship Club, Budget Manager of STRIPE fashion magazine, and an Outdoor Action leader. This summer, Julia will be attending the Princeton in Beijing program.
