Marta Krason '14 is pursuing degrees in Biological Engineering and Management Science at MIT. Marta became interested in money management when her father’s textile factory went bankrupt forcing him to pursue another business venture with her mother’s finances. Marta continuously seeks opportunities that provide insight on managing finances and that merge her interests in global development and economics.  This March, Marta visited hospitals and health clinics in Nicaragua to research and implement sustainable, low-cost health technologies for the developing world. She is also a member of MIT’s International Development Consulting, an organization that helps clients seek business strategies for entrepreneurial ventures in developing countries. She is currently partnered with Building a Future developing a business and design strategy for the implementation of an appropriate waste management system for a community center in Honduras.

As a Founding Partner of SWS, Marta is committed to educating women about financial planning to ensure their financial independence and success.
