The SWS Investment Conference brought together students and professionals in an afternoon dedicated to investment education. The Conference, consisting of panels and workshops, catered to both students who wished to learn about investment careers as well as students who were interested in investing for their personal knowledge. Warren Buffett Trip
October 5-6, 2006 and October 18-20, 2007
Omaha, Nebraska
Over 200 men and women from Harvard have attended our trips to meet Mr. Warren Buffett in Omaha, Nebraska. Co-sponsored by Smart Woman Securities and Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business (HUWIB), students visited Mr. Buffett in fall of 2006 and 2007. In addition to visiting Mr. Buffett and touring Berkshire Hathaway, students also had the opportunity to visit several companies in the Omaha area, including the Gallup Organization, Omaha Steaks, and Union Pacific.
Fidelity Day on the Job

Boston, MA
On Friday, Feb. 16, SWS Associates had the opportunity to visit Fidelity's new offices on 245 Summer Street in Boston. Students visited the trading floor, heard from equity traders, and spoke with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and Associates. They were able to experience a "day on the job" for someone in an investment career.
