Jiaxi Huang ’12, co-Chief Executive Officer, is a senior double majoring in Economics and Statistics. Having grown up in Singapore, she loves her food and enjoys experimenting with jazz pieces on the piano. She also loves the outdoors and extreme sports, be it skiing(or rather tumbling) down the snowy slopes or scuba diving with the sharks. As a scholar with Singapore Airlines, she will be joining them after graduate school. She will be attending MIT Sloan Master of Finance in the coming academic year.

 

 

 

 

Julie Sitver '13, co-Chief Executive Officer, is currently a junior Economics major in the College of Arts and Sciences. She grew up in Weston, CT. Julie is interested in pursuing a career in finance and has gained exposure to the field through Smart Woman Securities and her summer internship with a mortgage consulting firm, Andrew Davidson and Company. Julie is also a member of the sorority Sigma Delta Tau. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, doing yoga, and watching the Food Network.

 

 

 

 

Adele Huang ’13, Chief Operating Officer, is currently a junior at the School of Hotel Administration. She was born in Canada but spent most of her life in Rockville, MD. She has a strong passion for the hospitality industry and spent last summer working as a Marketing Intern for Wyndham Worldwide. On campus, she also serves as a consultant and Chief Marketing Director for Cornell Hospitality Consultants. During her free time, she enjoys watching movies, baking, playing volleyball, and oil painting. 

 

 

 

 

 

Sonya Flechon ’13, Chief Financial Officer, is a junior double-majoring in Mathematics and Economics at Cornell University. Last summer, she interned at Dow Jones and wrote for The Wall Street Journal. She is looking to pursue a career in finance. Sonya is French and loves to travel. She currently resides in London but has moved throughout Europe and the States since she was young. During her spare time at Cornell, she loves to go spinning at the gym.

 

 

 

 

 

Tyna Eloundou ’14, Chief Marketing Officer, is a sophomore Economics major in the College of Arts and Sciences. She was born in Cameroon, but moved to Ithaca, NY, at an early age. She is fluent in both French and English, and would love to learn to speak more new languages. She has always had a passion for economics research, but recently discovered a budding passion for the world of investment banking. On campus, she is involved with the Cornell Undergraduate Research Board and the Cornell Economics Society. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, playing golf and tennis. She loves to try new foods, watch movies, and try new things with friends.

 

 

 

 

Cindy Lin’13, Chief Research Officer, is currently a junior studying Hotel Administration at Cornell University. She is from Parsippany, New Jersey, where she has spent her past two summers interning at the Sheraton Hotel and the headquarters of Wyndham Worldwide. Cindy's interests include swimming and watching movies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cristina Circu ’13, Chief Education Officer, is a junior in the College of Agriculture and Life Science. She is studying Applied Economics and Management with a specialization in finance.  She hopes to work within the financial sector after graduation. She was born in Romania but moved to Queens, New York, at the age of nine. She is passionate about animals, yoga and food. She is also part of the Mutual Investment Club of Cornell and Chief Operating Officer of a new club on campus called Moneythink Cornell which aims to teach financial literacy and build the entrepreneurial attitudes of local high school students.

Jenny Wang, Chief Executive Officer is currently a junior studying Hotel Administration at Cornell University. She grew up in the beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada, where she developed an appreciation for hospitality and tourism. On campus, she is involved with a range of activities from professional development, such as Smart Woman Securities, CHC Hospitality Consultants, and Hotel School Ambassadors, to leisure ventures, such as being the Division Director for Upstate New York of the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association. In her free time, she loves to play sports, shop, hang out with friends, and watch movies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Melba Madrigal, Chief Mentorship Officer was born and raised just fifteen minutes south of San Francisco, California. She is the first born American on both sides of her family who immigrated from Nicaragua. She has a younger brother and a younger sister whom she hopes to inspire every day. Melba studies in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. In the future, Melba will have her own company, which helps communities achieve a balanced and holistic lifestyle.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chelsea Blake, Chief Operating Officer is pursuing studies in Industrial Labor Relations.  Outside of her major, she has a strong interest in finance and has explored this passion through a summer internship at HSBC in London, working under the Head of Commercial Finance for Europe.  Her passion for SWS stems from her desire to empower women to flourish and succeed in the field of finance and to bring together a community of students with the shared goal of learning investment strategy and techniques.  On campus, she also serves as Membership Chair of the Cornell Entrepreneurship Organization, is involved in the Society for Women in Business, and is a member of the Sigma Delta Tau Sorority.  Additionally, Chelsea enjoys playing tennis, running, movies, and traveling. 

 

 

Jenny Cheng, Chief Research Officer is currently completely her junior year at Cornell University with majors in Mathematics and Economics. On campus, Jenny is involved with varies extracurricular activities such as Smart Woman Securities, a student run company called OptixProductions that specializes in event coverage, and is a former intern at Cornell Venture Capital Club. During her spare time, Jenny enjoys listening to music, dancing, taking a leisure walk around Cornell’s beautiful campus, and hanging out with friends.

 

 

 

Arielle Kan, Chief Financial Officer is a junior majoring in Operations Research and Information Engineering. Arielle came from a little red dot called Singapore where the word snow was never in her dictionary until she arrived in Ithaca. On campus, besides being actively involved in Smart Woman Securities, she also writes for Cornell Business Review and is part of the Karate Club. Arielle is passionate about French language and the culture, where after six years of study of the French language has made her come to love the country and the language. She also enjoys drawing and playing the violin in her free time.

 

 

 

 


Julie Sitver, Chief Marketing Officer is a sophomore Economics major in the College of Arts and Sciences.  She grew up in Weston, Connecticut and has an older sister and a younger brother.  Julie is also involved in psychology research, is an active member of Sigma Delta Tau and Smart Woman Securities, and loves athletics.  She would like to pursue a career in finance and enjoy a lifestlye that includes all of her other interests.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joyce Wu, Chief Education Officer is a junior at the Hotel School and is from Plano, Texas. She has been a Communication Center tutor since her sophomore year. During the past summers, she worked in the restaurant, retail, and hotel industries. In the past summer, she interned at a hospitality consulting firm that specializes in feasibility reports, appraisals, and economic condition assessments for leisure real estate. In the future, she hopes to work in the finance industry, although she has not yet decided on which particular area of the finance sector she would like to work in. She also hopes to travel to different countries and experience new cultures and foods. During her free time, she enjoys reading Dan Brown novels, biking, spending time with her family, and going to grocery stores and malls.
