AAmy Hinz '13 is from Lansing, Michigan. She is in the Carroll School of Management and is planning on concentrating in Finance or Economics, along with an Arts and Sciences major in Perspectives. At Boston College, she is involved in the Carroll School of Management Honors Program, Women in Business, Saint Thomas More Society, and the Synchronized Figure Skating team. Her interests include figure skating, running, reading, and spending quality time with friends.

 

 

 

 

BSayoko Kumamaru ‘12 is an Economics major and a Chinese and Philosophy double minor in the Carroll School of Management. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, she attended a private boarding school for high school in Andover, MA. At Boston College she serves as the Director of Women's Issues for the Undergraduate Government of BC, overseeing many events and initiatives pertaining to spreading awareness about women's issues on campus. She is also involved in Women's Issues Caucus, Japan Club of Boston College, Women In Business, and Americans for Informed Democracy. Last summer she spent two months in Beijing, learning Chinese through the Princeton in Beijing program at Beijing Normal University. Her interests are traveling, East Asian cultures, community service, promoting gender equality, Sudoku, and yoga.

Sarah Olson ‘13 is in the Carroll School of Management and plans on concentrating in Marketing and Finance with an Arts and Sciences minor in Art History. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Simi Valley, CA, she always dreamed of attending college on the East Coast. She is involved in Women in Business, the Marketing Academy, and Carroll School of Management Honors Program. She works on campus in the CSOM Undergraduate Dean's office as an assistant. She also works as a bookkeeper for a tool and die company back in Los Angeles. Her interests include volunteering, traveling, independent films, yoga, fashion, and music.

 


 

DLaura Travers ‘12 (chapter lead) hails from Westchester, New York. She is a student in the Carroll School of Management with a concentration in Finance and second major in History. At Boston College she is involved in the Irish Society and Women in Business. In the spring of 2009 Laura traveled to Narrows, Virginia where she worked as a member of the Appalachia Volunteers. In 2010 she went on a similar trip to Barren Springs, Virginia. Besides volunteering, Laura’s interests include Irish Studies, reading classic literature, and swimming. For the past three summers Laura has worked as a surf lifeguard in Westerly, Rhode Island.


 

 

ELauren Wallace '13 is from Lake Bluff, IL, a suburb outside Chicago. She is a freshman in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, with a planned concentration in Accounting and a minor in Faith, Peace, and Justice. She is involved with the Appalachia Volunteers Program, Women in Business, Carroll School of Management Honors Program, and Student Admissions Program. She also works on campus at the Chocolate Bar. Her interests include running, volunteering, traveling, and watching movies. This summer will be her sixth summer lifeguarding at Mitchell Pool.

 

 

  

 

 

FJuliet Zawedde ‘12 is an Economics major complemented by an International Studies minor. She was born and raised in Uganda until the age of 10 when she moved to the United States. At Boston College she is involved with Black Student Forum and Women in Business. She has had experience volunteering in inner city Boston as well as abroad in Nicaragua. This past summer, Juliet interned for a software company, exploring her interests in computer sciences and technology. She also currently works part time for Citizens Bank to strengthen her background in financial services and commercial banking. Juliet's interests include dance, game shows and international cultures.
